CVE-2026-6100Use-after-free (UAF) was possible in the `lzma.LZMADecompressor`, `bz2.BZ2Decompressor`, and `gzip.GzipFile` when a memory allocation fails with a `MemoryError` and the decompression instance is re-used. This scenario can be triggered if the process is under memory pressure. The fix cleans up the dangling pointer in this specific error condition. The vulnerability is only present if the program re-uses decompressor instances across multiple decompression calls even after a `MemoryError` is raised during decompression. Using the helper functions to one-shot decompress data such as `lzma.decompress()`, `bz2.decompress()`, `gzip.decompress()`, and `zlib.decompress()` are not affected as a new decompressor instance is used per call. If the decompressor instance is not re-used after an error condition, this usage is similarly not vulnerable.4/13/2026
CVE-2026-5734Memory safety bugs present in Firefox ESR 140.9.0, Thunderbird ESR 140.9.0, Firefox 149.0.1 and Thunderbird 149.0.1. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort some of these could have been exploited to run arbitrary code. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 149.0.2, Firefox ESR 140.9.1, Thunderbird 149.0.2, and Thunderbird 140.9.1.4/7/2026
CVE-2026-5732Incorrect boundary conditions, integer overflow in the Graphics: Text component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 149.0.2, Firefox ESR 140.9.1, Thunderbird 149.0.2, and Thunderbird 140.9.1.4/7/2026
CVE-2026-5731Memory safety bugs present in Firefox ESR 115.34.0, Firefox ESR 140.9.0, Thunderbird ESR 140.9.0, Firefox 149.0.1 and Thunderbird 149.0.1. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort some of these could have been exploited to run arbitrary code. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 149.0.2, Firefox ESR 115.34.1, Firefox ESR 140.9.1, Thunderbird 149.0.2, and Thunderbird 140.9.1.4/7/2026
CVE-2026-5201A flaw was found in the gdk-pixbuf library. This heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability occurs in the JPEG image loader due to improper validation of color component counts when processing a specially crafted JPEG image. A remote attacker can exploit this flaw without user interaction, for example, via thumbnail generation. Successful exploitation leads to application crashes and denial of service (DoS) conditions.3/31/2026
